When do you come?
Group dog outings happen generally anytime between 10 am and 3pm. Individual dog or cat visits are usually scheduled at the preference of the owner according to the pet’s needs.
How long will my dog be out?
One-and-a-half to two hours, depending on where we go and how many dogs are in the group that day. Visits are about 20 to 30 minutes.
Can I request that you visit/pick up my dog at a specific time?
Sort of. For individual visits, I will come within a hour of your preferred time. For the group dog outings, I will pick up your pooch anytime between 10 and 3. Most of the time though pick up’s happen between noon and two.
How many dogs are in your hiking groups?
Five to eight, depending on location and temperament of the dog.
Where do you go?
Usually Elysian Park and Griffith Park. In the summer months we use Griffith Park Dog Park often because it’s too hot to hike.
Are the dogs off-leash?
Yes. However, if they show they can’t handle the responsibility they lose their off-leash privileges. Basically, this would be any dog who chooses not to stay with the pack or come back when called.
How much notice do you need to book a space for my dog?
At least 24 hours.
My cat?
Same.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I charge for same-day cancellations unless it’s pouring rain or extremely hot (over 85 degrees). I also charge if I show up to your house and the dog is not there.
How do I pay you?
Cash or check. I will leave a paper invoice in your house at the end of each month.
What’s the best way to reach you?
My cell phone is 213.509.1193. Call anytime. If I’m asleep or otherwise unavailable I just won’t pick-up!
Do you have staff?
Yes! I have several great assistants right now so we should be able to meet all your pet care needs. They help out when I have more dogs than I can safely handle, when I am out of town or would just like a day off.
Does your pet sitter’s insurance cover your staff?
Yes.
Do you work weekends?
I prefer not to. That’s what my assistants are for!
Do you work nights or before 9 am?
See above.
